Ellenbrook Ward

People often ask Natasha why she decided to nominate for Council – to help and represent her community.

“The Ellenbrook Ward is a very special place for me because of the sense of community that exists. It is also my home, it is where my kids go to school, it is where I work, and it is the community where I live. I believe I have a responsibility to contribute to its growth and progress, especially as it is still such a new area, and the decisions that are made now will affect its future. Having a young family, I see the need for the facilities and services required by the community and if I can contribute by representing these, then it's a great outcome for the whole community."

Patty has lived in Ellenbrook since 2001. She is a business owner, a single mum with four children aged 18 to 35 and was elected to Council in 2009. She has worked in the community since 1986, and in Ellenbrook specifically since 2002. Patty also runs the Ellenbrook Community Youth Performance Group, a not for profit talent school for children.

“My challenge is to work towards making our community a friendly, safe and prosperous one. Communities don’t just happen; they are fruits of our labour. As Joshua J Marine once said, ‘challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful’. Take the challenge with me.”
