Come and hear talks on some fascinating topics at Library Lovers - our regular information sessions.

Library Lovers sessions are held regularly throughout the year at the following library branches: Altone Park, Ballajura, Ellenbrook and Midland.

April 24 10am - 12pm	Burglar Beware This talk will give you some excellent information to help you make your house more secure. You will also get some tips about personal safety.	Ian Westmore - West Australian Police Force
May 16 6.30pm - 8pm	Jive, Twist & Stomp Want to relive the days of music legends like Bon Scott and Johnny Young? Well take a trip down memory lane with authors and rockers John Mills and Murray Gracie. They will give an exclusive insight into their book Jive, Twist and Stomp which looks at WA rock 'n' roll bands of the 50s and 60s and gives readers a backstage pass to this lively musical era. The book covers over 350 bands with a collection of stories and photos from this vibrant point in time. John and Murray will present an hour long talk, a 10 minute DVD and a Q&A session. June 12 10am - 12pm	Bush Poetry Come and be thoroughly entertained by the wonderful bush poet Brian Langley. Brian will recite many of his rhyming poems and a will also give a history of bush poetry. "The City Poet" is a member of the Bush Poets and Yarnspinners Association ad also The Storytellers Guild. There will be tips to help you start writing as well. July 18 6.30pm - 8pm	Champagne Life on a Beer Budget Perth-based author Maree Wrack will be sharing some of her dollar-stretching tips from her book Champagne life on a beer budget. Maree is an expert in showing people how to add thousands to their bottom line and LIVE IT UP on less. Start the new financial year by discovering the easy way to gain control of your money.
