Want to know more about native birds in your area?
This two-part workshop presented by people who know and love our native birds, will provide you with interesting bird knowledge and a birdwatching experience in a friendly, hands-on environment.
The workshop includes:
- a talk on Birds on Wednesday night
- a birdwatching walk on the Saturday
Please register for both sessions to get the most out of this opportunity.
In the talk session, BirdLife WA volunteers will provide an introduction to birds of the local area and discuss the 'nuts and bolts' of birding and bird calls.
On the Saturday morning walk session the group will venture into a bush reserve with the aim of seeing birds. Binoculars will be available for those who need them, with operating tips provided if required.
This is a great workshop for anyone interested in learning about birds around us here in WA.
It's suitable for adults, and children aged 14 and over (must be accompanied by an adult).
Light refreshments will be provided.
Places are limited, so please book as early as possible..
