In this section you will find a variety of educational online resources to aid in learning and study. There is something for learning at all levels - toddlers, teenagers and adults - as well as access to free online tutoring for students.

Junior Resources

	Encyclopedia Britannica Junior* Features introductory-level content for young students aged 6 to 10 years old. Britannica Junior has been created especially for readers at the primary school level and contains thousands of shorter articles covering subjects for school and fun, from nations of the world to animals and sports.
	Literacy Planet by Intrepica* A high-quality, play-based, literacy resource with more than 10,000 activities online for children of all ages and ability. Children and parents can select from activities focusing on pre-reading skills, phonics, reading, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension in a fun, exciting and safe online environment. Help When creating your online account to access the service, you will need to select "Western Australian Libraries" from the drop down list located on the sign up page. Apps iPad / Android Note: Before using the app you will first need to visit the Literacy Planet website and create an account.
	Busythings* An online resource for the early years that includes over 115 fun learning activities that help children learn important skills in the key learning areas of creative development, problem solving, reasoning, numeracy, communication, language and literacy and knowledge and understanding of the world. Provided through Better Beginnings - a State Library of Western Australia initiative supporting families in sharing a love of reading. Apps iPhone & iPad / Android
	TumbleBook Library An online collection of  animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love.
	Stay Smart Online for Kids Kids, to have a good time on the internet, you need to keep yourself cyber safe and cyber secure. Stay Smart Online has a host of information to keep you safe, and also features a fun game where you can build your own cyber security Budd:e.
	ABC for Kids A rich and happy environment for children to explore. It's also a detailed information point with easy access to your favourite ABC Kids' characters, TV programs and online games.

	Encyclopedia Britannica Student* Features intermediate-level content for students aged 10 to 14 years old. Britannica Student makes the authoritative content of the encyclopedia lively and easy to read.
	yourtutor* Australasia’s leading online tutoring service. This professional service connects thousands of students around Australia to qualified tutors, who are experts in their subject areas - and for members of the library access is free! yourtutor provides real-time assistance and coaching to students from years three to 12 and TAFE, across the subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. Students can also learn how to effectively conduct research for assignments and gain valuable study skills. All tutor sessions are monitored, to maintain quality control and service provision.
	NoveList* A comprehensive readers' advisory solution for fiction lovers. It is designed to help readers answer the question of "what to read next". It also features Author Read-alikes - that is, if you like a particular author, you can find other authors with similar writing styles. There are also BookTalks, feature articles and Book Discussion Guides which can help students working on literary assignments.
	Trove Trove is a new discovery experience focused on Australia and Australians. It supplements search engine information with reliable data from Australia's archival institutions. If you’re researching in the fields of the social sciences, literature, local or family history or you just need inspiration for your school assignment, this is the tool for you.
