Public Consultation

Different Statutory Planning proposals require different levels of public advertising, ranging from none at all to very extensive advertising.

Local Planning Scheme No.17 indicates when public advertising of a planning proposal is a mandatory requirement.

If public advertising is not a mandatory requirement, a City Planner will use their descretion when assessing the application and determining whether the proposal should be advertised to the public.

The following list identifies what types of applications 'may' require public advertising.
