The Gidgegannup Local Area Plan 2024 was adopted by Council in April 2024.
It was fantastic to hear what you love about Gidgegannup and what you would like to see prioritised for the next five years.
The plan highlights the priorities you identified during the consultation period. It also creates a roadmap for us to plan for and deliver outcomes that meet your needs and aspirations.
Gidgegannup Local Key Area Information
Gidgegannup, Red Hill and Avon Valley National Park
The previous LAP for Gidgegannup was adopted in 2016. As sometime has now passed since this LAP was created, the City is now preparing for a fresh LAP to recognise the changing priorities and aspirations of the community in 2023.
Phase one of the LAP consultation process identifies the key priorities for the local community. Phase two examines how these key priorities should be delivered by asking the community to confirm the determined priorities and explore what projects or initiatives they want to see in their local area to deliver these priorities.
During phase one of consultation, we met with locals and visitors at the following events from March to May:
