Walk Trails

Bushland Trails

Walking in natural bushland areas is a unique opportunity to appreciate the flora and fauna and to reflect on the unspoilt beauty that is still available for us to enjoy.

The City of Swan has a series of three walk trails developed as a part of the Be Active Together program. Please follow the links below for maps and further information about the walks.

Guildford’s Heritage Walk Trails

Explore the history of Guildford- on foot. Established on what is virtually an island encircled by the Swan and Helena Rivers, Guildford is ideally suited to exploration on foot.

To assist you in discovering the numerous fascinating historic buildings, lively characters and wonderful stories of this ’island village’ three new heritage walk trails (with 35 interpretive panels) have been built:

  • The Town Walk: 1800 metres, 40 - 60 minutes, (red markers)
  • The River Ramble: 1500 metres, 30 - 50 minutes (blue markers)
  • The Stirling Square Circuit: 450 metres, 20 minutes (black markers)

Each trail starts and finishes at the Old Guildford Courthouse (Visitor Centre). The route markers carry the original Town of Guildford crest, with the trails distinguished by different colour marker plates. You can find a map showing the route of the trails - and the location of the interpretive panels - in the centre-fold of the downloadble brochure. When walking the trails be sure to stop and enjoy Guildford’s antique strip and other unique shops and the historic cafés, hotels and pubs.
