The Water Playground is here

The long awaited opening of the Ellenbrook Water Playground will be held on November 8, and everyone is welcome to attend.

City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino said the City was very pleased to announce the opening on the water playground which was developed with funding support from the Department of Sport and Recreation and LWP Property Group.

“The Ellenbrook Water Playground was developed using the latest sustainable techniques and products.

“The facility is the largest outdoor free water playground in the Perth metropolitan area and we believe our community will have hours of fun using the facility.

“I hope you will all make use of it and enjoy it.’’

To celebrate the opening, a free community event will be held at the playground on Sunday 8 November.

The official opening will get underway at 10.30am and will be followed by a free family fun day that will run until 1.30pm. Entertainment will be provided by local entertainer jay Western and the Ellenbrook Youth Performance Group (EYPG).

The EYGP will also hold a sausage sizzle as a fund raiser or families are invited to bring along a picnic.

Of course, people will also be able to have fun on the new playground.

Community members are invited to join dignitaries, including representatives from the Department of Sport & Recreation, project partners LWP Property and the City of Swan, for the official opening ceremony.
