Swan Valley Visitor Centre - WA Tourism Awards Finalists 2009 The City of Swan’s Swan Valley Visitor Centre is a finalist in 2009 WA Tourism Awards in the Visitor Information and Services Category. The Western Australian Tourism Awards recognise excellence within the WA Tourism Industry. The Awards are universally regarded as the industry’s most prestigious awards program, showcasing the best that tourism in WA has to offer, and recognised as the tourism industry’s major annual event The Swan Valley Visitor Centre offers state of the art services for one of Western Australia's most iconic and most visited food and wine destinations.
The Centre continues to prove itself as an industry leader through its dedication to tourism and integrated approach. The result is the provision of a level one accredited Visitor Centre offering information services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
City of Swan Mayor Charlie Zannino said the Swan Valley Visitor Centre was a recognized leader in tourism, was very well resourced, and an exceptionally networked operation housed in a heritage building with modern facilities offering old fashioned personalized service.
Centre manager Scott Fleming said he, staff and volunteers were all delighted to be finalists in the 2009 WA Tourism Awards. “For the Visitor Centre to be recognised at this level is fantastic, we are very proud of our achievements and look forward to providing the very best visitor experience into the future.’’ Many other Swan Valley businesses were also announced as finalists.
Winners will be announced at Western Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner to be held at Burswood Entertainment Complex Saturday 21 November 2009.
