Grants and sponsorships

We are pleased to deliver an accessible, transparent and accountable approach to the management of our City Grant and Sponsorship Program. We strive for equitable decision-making and the optimal use of resources to support and connect people, build social capital and enhance community wellbeing.

The program allows us to financially support inclusive community-led projects, activities and events that address community needs. We welcome applications from anyone based in, or delivering initiatives or activities within the City of Swan boundaries.

The community can now develop their own initiatives and apply for funding that helps deliver the Strategic Community Plan:

  • E1.1 Actively support and develop thriving local businesses and centres
  • S1.1 Build a strong sense of community health, safety and wellbeing
  • S1.2 Build social inclusion and connectivity in local places and areas
  • G2 Sustainable and optimal use of City resources.

Application assessments are based on individual merit, and applicants may apply for multiple initiatives of a different nature, as long as they remain eligible, meet the stream’s criteria and program objectives.

Unless otherwise noted in our information sheets under each stream below and in the relevant application form, the program will not fund retrospective project costs, capital costs, political/religious intent, organisational recurrent and/or operational costs, or government services.
