LONE TWIN

TWO DAY WORKSHOP: SAT 9 & SUN 10 APRIL
10am-4pm Daily

Performance and Kindness

What is an act of kindness, how can performance engender kindness, how does contemporary performance, a practice often located at the extremes of experience, approach sociability, co-operation and collaboration? As performance makers what does it mean to be well-meaning, to want to fit in, to not cause trouble, to not disturb or disrupt, to not oppose but to agree, to confirm, to help, to be kind?

The workshop will explore these ideas through a number of strategies employed by the company. Built around a series of process based activities the workshop will be pointed towards the making of small performance events for public spaces.
