The Biodiversity Strategy provides a plan for the future with a number of recommendations for biodiversity and is a key document in guiding natural resource management over the next decade.

The strategy will evolve over time and will be implemented over an extended time frame. It also aims to integrate biodiversity conservation into the City's core business by providing a strategic, consistent and well informed framework for decision making.

The strategy was formally adopted by Council on June 15, 2016.
