Residential development

The City of Swan has some of the fastest growing residential suburbs in Western Australia. With a forecast average annual population growth of 3.44%, it is expected to increase by 75,500 people to 190,000 by 2026, and by 2036, we expect that more than 225,000 people will live in Swan.

To meet these demands, future residential growth will occur on multiple fronts. This includes development of our 1,100 hectare Urban Growth Corridor which includes the suburbs of Bennett Springs, Brabham, Dayton, and parts of West Swan and Caversham. Continued growth at Ellenbrook and Aveley, future growth in Bullsbrook and Gidgegannup, and a significant number of urban infill opportunities throughout the City are all expected.
