Library membership

The great thing about our libraries is that you don't need to join to use the facilities. However, if you'd like to borrow items or use the public computers, you need to become a member.

Once you've joined, the world's your oyster. You’ll find it easy to borrow, reserve and renew your loans and manage your details online.  If you can't come to us, we'll come to you

Find out how to join in person or online and all the options open to you. Joining one of our libraries is easy, plus it's free! Even if you're a temporary resident or a visitor, you're welcome to join. Conditions apply to anyone under 18 years.

If you'd like to be an active member of our libraries, you'll need to comply with our Borrowing Terms and Conditions.

Joining in Person

To join in person, visit your nearest City of Swan Library.  If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent or guardian.

Joining Online

To join online, all you need to do is visit the Members Area sign in page and select the link to join online. Once you've registered, you can start reserving items straight away.

Visit your nearest City of Swan Library to finalise your membership and collect your card.  If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent or guardian.

Joining Online (eMembership)

Want to access our expanding eLibrary collection but find it hard to visit the library? Then our new eMembership may be for you.
