Fantastic Fiction

Fantastic Fiction contains bibliographies for over 25,000 authors and information on over 300,000 books.


BookCrossing involves the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. The site contains information on where to locate books and provides plenty of user submitted reviews and recommendations of titles.

Children's Book of the Year Award

The Children's Book Council of Australia awards Book of the Year to the best examples of work in five categories: Early Childhood, Younger Readers, Older Readers, Picture Book of the Year and Non-Fiction (the Eve Pownall Award). These annual awards are for books with an implied readership under the age of 18 years.

The WAYRBA Awards

The West Australian Young Readers Book Award website has the current reading and past winners lists, plus winners of the Avis and Hoffman awards. It provides reading lists for younger as well as older readers.
