The City of Swan’s Bike in the Valley is back once again on Sunday, April 29.
The annual ride attracts cyclists from all over Perth who can explore the Swan Valley via three different routes - 8km, 18km and 30km in length.
City of Swan Mayor David Lucas said this year’s event is free and will cater for all fitness levels.
“From junior or part-time peddlers to seasoned cyclists, Bike in the Valley welcomes every community member from all walks of life,” he said.
“Bike in the Valley is a great community event year after year, and I look forward to taking part in the 8km ride with some of my grandchildren.”
Swan Valley/Gidgegannup Ward Councillor Charlie Zannino said the ride showcases the best of the Swan Valley.
“The Swan Valley provides the perfect backdrop to the three route options, weaving through some of the region’s geographical highlights,” he said.
“From green pastures to sprawling wineries and local businesses, cyclists will see the very best of what the Swan Valley has to offer.”
This fun-filled ride is well signed and supported by a ‘sag wagon’, following the riders to pick up anyone who needs assistance.
A Dr Bike clinic will also be on site to answer any questions about bike maintenance.
The ride starts and finishes at Chardonnay Park, The Vines (corner of Barbera Lane and Vines Ave) with registrations from 9am and riders leaving at 10am.
