Client rights & responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Notifying any cancellation of service (4 hour minimum notice); and
- Maintaining a safe working environment for the support workers.
Clients have the right to:
- Privacy and confidentiality; and
- Make complaints without fear of reprisal for making such a complaint.
Confidentiality and Privacy
City of Swan Community Care Services respects a client’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
The release of client information to another party only occurs with the consent of the client or the client’s advocate. All client information is stored securely in both electronic and printed format.
City of Swan Community Care Services complies with the Freedom of Information Act and respects clients’ rights to access their personal information.
