Land in the City of Swan

The City of Swan covers an area of over 1,000 square kilometres and is geographically the largest local government authority in the Perth metropolitan area. The City contains three distinct landforms – the Swan Coastal Plain, Darling Plateau and Dandaragan Plateau.

The City of Swan also contains 22 vegetation complexes. You can determine which vegetation complex and soil type(PDF, 4MB) is in your area by viewing the relevant map.
