If you are having trouble finding your bin or verge collection date using the link, there may be several reasons why.

  • Is your property newly built? On occasion there can be a delay in new properties joining the City's waste system. Please contact the City on 9267 9267 so we can assist you.

Bin collections

To ensure your bin is collected, place it out on your verge before 6am on the day of collection.

Verge collections

Bulk collections for green waste are held twice a year and bulk white goods collections occur once a year. The City now also has an on-call mattress collection service which runs regularly.

Some properties in rural areas are not able to have bulk verge collections for various reasons. These properties may be eligible for tip passes. For further information about tip passes refer to Get a tip pass. The City's new Recycling Centre in Bullsbrook is free to all City residents and may be useful if you wish to dispose of materials throughout the year.

Changes coming to verge collections

From July 1, 2018 the City will change its verge collection to an on-call service. This will provide residents with year-round access to collections.

Residents will be able to request up to two collections, either general waste, recyclable goods or green waste collections, plus three mattress collections across the year, at a time that suits them, within a predetermined schedule of pick-ups. This option will be more environmentally sustainable, cost-effective, efficient and more flexible and convenient for residents.

The new system will allow us, as a community, to recover more recyclable material and send less to landfill. The Recycling Centre in Bullsbrook and recyclable goods drop off days will also still be available for residents to dispose of recyclable material throughout the year.

More information will be available to all residents prior to the service commencing. To stay up to date with the latest City news, sign up to your Place eNewsletter.
