NGAA National Congress 2019

The pace, patterns and policies of Australia's sustained population growth will shape our society for generations.

The far outer suburbs of our capital cities play a pivotal role in accommodating Australia's population boom. Member Councils of the National Growth Areas Alliance are striving to build resilient, livable and productive communities while their populations grow at more than double the national average.

Their efforts to go from paddock to postcode, and get it right, are more important now than ever.

Australia's fast growing outer suburbs are far out in every sense:

  • They are geographically distant from CBD's, service and employment hubs.
  • Their scale and pace is astounding and hard to comprehend without being on the ground.
  • They provide amazing opportunities for leadership and innovation from local government and their partners.

The 2019 National Congress will focus on creating places and spaces for people in Australia's fast growing outer suburbs. The program will inform and inspire with ideas and approaches that are out of the ordinary, but necessary to meet the extraordinary challenges we face. Don't miss out.
