Volunteering at the City of Swan
The foundations for the City of Swan Community Care Services were laid down by a group of volunteers over 30 years ago. Due to the drive of our dedicated volunteers and Volunteer Advisory Committee, the service has continued to be a success in helping frail aged and those with disabilities throughout the community.

If you ask any of our valued volunteers why they volunteer, you’ll probably hear the same answer time and again. Quite simply, they find the experience highly rewarding and embrace the fact that they can make such a difference to someone’s life.
If you’d like to volunteer, why not join our team? We’ll provide all the training you’ll need, reimburse your travel expenses and provide insurance cover. You’ll also have the chance to learn new skills and make new friends along the way.
Our volunteers provide vital assistance and support in so many different ways across numerous not-for-profit community organisations and City of Swan Business Units.
Some of the positions available include:
Swan Community Care: Bus drivers, activity assistants, vehicle detailers, office assistants, .
Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade: Fire fighter, cadets, communications.
City of Swan Libraries: Home library service, administration assistance.
Art & Culture: Gallery attendants, visual art assistant, theatre assistant.
Community Events: Hyper Youth Festival, residents groups, Midland Movies, Harmony Week celebrations.
