Proposed Front Fence - Lot 63 (No.17) Bernley Drive, VIVEASH 

The City has received an application to construct a Front Fence on the above property, which proposes a variation to the Residential Design Codes. The application is being re-advertised to rectify a minor oversight in which the portion of fencing abutting Bernley Drive and Lasham Street is in fact 1.9m instead of the 1.8m originally advertised. This consists of a 1.8m high colorbond fence and a 100mm plinth at the base of the fence.

Design element 5.2.4 Street Walls and Fences

Front fences within the primary street setback area that are visually permeable above 1.2m of natural ground level measured from the primary street side of the front fence.

The application consists of an existing unauthorised 1.9m high fence located within the primary street setback area (Bernley Drive) and the secondary street (Lasham Street).

This consists of a 1.8m high colorbond fence and a 100mm plinth at the base of the fence. 

Design element 5.2.5 Sight Lines

Walls, fences and other structures truncated or reduced to no higher than 0.75m within 1.5m of where walls, fences , or other structure adjoin a driveway that intersects a street.

The portion of the fence located next to the internal driveway will be higher than 0.75m within 1.5m of where the wall adjoins the internal driveway (assessed at a height of 1.8m)
