The service provides support and advocacy to adult victims of family and domestic violence. All services are offered free of charge. The support provided by this service includes:

  • Information about safe accommodation options
  • Referral to other relevant agencies
  • Advocacy on victim's behalf to other agencies

  • Police liaison
  • Education and information about family and domestic violence
  • Emotional support.

Family helpline Is a confidential telephone counselling and information service for families with relationship difficulties.

Telephone family helpline when:

  • You are worried about someone you know.

A professional counsellor will listen and talk calmly with you. They will offer suggestions about positive things you can do to help yourself or someone else and suggest other places which may also be of help.

Men's Domestic Violence Helpline

This service provides counselling for men who are concerned about becoming violent or abusive. The service can provide telephone counselling, information and referral to ongoing face to face services if required. Information and support is also available for men who have experienced family and domestic violence.

Multicultural Women’s Advocacy Service

This service promotes the safety of women, with or without children, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have experienced or are at risk of domestic violence.

The service is available to women who are recent arrivals or long-term residents. They may be in crisis situations, in refuges, still remaining in their relationships or re-establishing themselves in the community after leaving refuges.

Sexual Assault Resource Centre

The Centre offers free 24 hour services to males and females aged 13 and older who have experienced any form of unwanted sexual contact or behaviour either recently or in the past.

Counselling and support is available face-to-face from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday to those who have experienced sexual assault in the past and to their families.
