Rates 2020/2021 information
The economic impact of COVID-19 is significant and we know these are hard times for many ratepayers in the City of Swan. We're committed to supporting you through this time.
The City of Swan has promised to deliver a financially responsible budget that is our roadmap to recovery. It is based on a zero per cent rates increase, zero percent rise in City fees and charges and zero interest charged on overdue rates or other charges for the 2020/2021 financial year.
We have lobbied hard to ensure your rates don't change this year, but without the State Government committing to postpone this year's rate revaluations, a true rate freeze for our ratepayers is impossible to achieve. As a direct result of the State Government's revaluations, some rates notices will be higher and some will be lower than last year.
