Bushfire grant relief payments are provided for residents where they meet the below criteria.
A resident’s property must:
- Be located within the City of Swan AND be located within the perimeter of the fire (as per DFES map); and
- Be the primary residence of the applicant (demonstrated through rates bill held by the local government, electricity bill or other suitable document); and
- Have been damaged or destroyed by fire during the Wooroloo bushfire event.
If the applicant meets the above criteria, they will be assessed as to whether they are eligible for a grant for a destroyed home ($4,000) or damaged home ($2,000).
Further Criteria
Destroyed home:
- Above criteria is met AND;
- The home is considered permanently uninhabitable as a result of the impact of fire during the Wooroloo bushfire event.
Damaged home:
- Above criteria is met AND;
- Has demonstrated physical damage that has occurred to the home as a result of the impact of fire during the Wooroloo bushfire event.
