Draw Your Hero with David Leith

Event description

In this mixed media workshop you will work with David to draw your hero, simply bring in a photo from home to reference.

During the 2-hour session, you will learn to capture a subject's persona and likeness. Please bring your own reference photo, drawing materials and paper. Some easels will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.

Portraits created during this session will be entered into the WA Local Government Association’s Showcase in Pixels Competition – in which winning entries will be showcased on the digital screen at Yagan Square in the Perth CBD.

This year’s theme for the Showcase is ‘Heroes Among Us’, inviting artists to cast a spotlight on those whose dedication and selflessness transcend the ordinary, contributing to the fabric of our communities.

This event will run twice, please note that you are not required to attend both sessions.

Please note that this program is suitable for ages 18+, and is a hands-on workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
