Portrait drawing - Creating portraits from a reference photo

Event description

In this session, presenter David Leith will help you develop a portrait of your choice, showing you ways to prepare and commence your drawing, and to develop work that is sensitive and descriptive.

The focus of this session is on learning: on developing techniques that you will be able to use to create images that really describe your chosen subject(s).

The sessions are suitable for anyone, from complete beginners to more experienced artists.

Artists should bring an image they wish to use as a reference, preferably at least A4 size (suitable images for instruction will also be available).

Paper and materials supplied.

Please book in as spaces are limited. Please note this session is running twice, you do not need to book into more than one session.

This program is suitable for all ages and is a hands-on workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
