Thinking Green: Mend and fix to enjoy again

Event description

Local upcycler Mariana Kirova of EcoFashionSewing.com (open in new window)will empower you with hand and machine sewing skills on valuable fixes, darning, invisible and more creative visible mending techniques.

You will learn how to rejuvenate favourite clothing items that still have a lot of love to give. Bring a few old favourites that need a fix and practice applying insider’s tips and tricks shared in this class.

This hands-on workshop will demonstrate both hand and machine sewing techniques. There will be a limited number of machines available for sharing, but attendees are highly encouraged to bring their own machine for easy practice of the machine techniques.

All participants will need to bring basic sewing items. Further details will be communicated via email before the workshop.
