Thinking Green: food preserving

Event description

You will look at different options of preserving fresh fruit and vegetables, ranging from dehydrating and fermenting, to making cordials and chutneys. We will look at food safety and sustainability aspects of preserving food. Participants will have the chance to try some home preserved foods and go home with recipes to give it a go themselves.

Thinking Green is a series of free programs hosted across the City’s libraries and community venues!

Please note that this program is suitable for adults and young people aged 12 and over and is a presentation. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
