Bullsbrook was named after the “Bull’s Brook” watercourse, which ran adjacent to the area. Although settlement dates back to the 1850s, most development occurred after the Midland Railway was opened in 1895. The suburb is home to the Pearce airbase, a major training facility for the Royal Australian Air Force.
