Councillor Maria Toquero was elected in 2025 and is proud to call Ellenbrook home, having moved to the area with her family from the Philippines in 2007. Growing up and being educated locally, she has seen first-hand the strength of the community and is committed to giving back through service and local leadership.Maria brings fresh energy and a community-focused perspective to Council. She contributes strong research, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making skills, with a focus on ensuring council decisions put people first.
She believes leadership begins with listening and serving the community and is proud to represent the Pearce Ward with openness, care, and a genuine commitment to the people she serves.
