Mel Congerton was elected again to Council in 2025 having previously served for 20 years, including four years as Deputy Mayor. Mel was also given the title of Honorary Freeman for his service and contribution to community. He is passionate about delivering positive outcomes to residents in the Whiteman Ward and the broader City of Swan.As a small business owner himself, he has a keen interest in supporting local businesses to thrive and reach their full potential.
