Nav Kaur is an experienced public sector leader, community advocate, wife of a veteran and proud mother of two. Nav loves raising her children and caring for both her in-laws and her own parents in the City of Swan. With over 15 years of experience in engineering, WA civil service, and grassroots engagement, she brings both technical expertise and compassionate leadership to her role as Councillor for Altone Ward.

Her work spans all three tiers of government. Nav has mentored youth, women and skilled migrants through the Kaleidoscope Commonwealth Initiative – supported by Local Government WA and the Office of Multicultural Interests – helping individuals re-enter the workforce and build meaningful careers since 2020. She has led the ministerial forum “Agents of Change,” influencing investment in regional digital connectivity in 2022 across WA, and continues to inspire girls in STEM as a keynote speaker for Women in Technology.

Her contributions to environmental conservation and water efficiency reflect her commitment to sustainability, while her leadership in reviewing WA’s TAFE fee structure in 2018 has helped expand fee-free training across the state. Nav also supports vocational excellence as a WA Training Awards judge and promotes mental health awareness as an Accredited Mental Health Champion since 2023.

Her leadership is grounded in science-based solutions, inclusive governance, and community empowerment. She values community consultation and is proud to represent the diverse and vibrant residents of Altone Ward.
