Swan event sponsorships support events that foster community spirit and pride, celebrate our diverse culture, and inspire people to visit our beautiful region.
Swan-sponsored events should be accessible, which usually means they’re free to attend and welcome people of all cultures, abilities, and socio-economic status. Sponsorship also means you will acknowledge the City's support in your marketing, signage and public communications.
Event sponsorships of up to $5,000 can be applied for through the expression of interest process.
Your EOI will need to highlight how your event will:
- maximise community benefit
- address real issues
- most meaningfully impact Swan residents.
If your EOI fits the above priorities and indicates that you're capable of delivering on your ideas, then we will ask you to complete a full application. It will take around 21 days from EOI submission for us to confirm whether we'd like you to progress to a full application.
Full applications will be assessed around 8 weeks from the date you submit. If your full application is successful, funding will be subject to adoption of the 26/27 budget and will be paid after July 1, 2026.
Payment can take City teams up to 30 days to process from the date of invoicing, so funds for successful applications may not be paid until July 30th at the earliest, depending on the date you return a signed Agreement and invoice.
Event Sponsorships for over $5,000
Applications for over $5,000 must be applied for in our special Signature Events rounds, which are assessed twice per year. The next signature event round opens on September 1, 2026, and closes on September 30, 2026.
Important info for event holders
Event approvals are separate to your Event Sponsorship or Signature Event application, and must be applied for a minimum of 6 weeks before your event. Apply for event approval.
