Swan event grants support events that foster community spirit and pride, celebrate our diverse culture, and encourage the community to connect and share.
Events supported by a Swan grant should be accessible, which usually means they’re free to attend and welcome people of all cultures, abilities, and socio-economic status. Grant applicants will also need to acknowledge the City's support in marketing, signage and public communications.
More lead-time should be given to ensure event approval is confirmed well ahead of your event dates. Funding for events will not be awarded until the City has confirmed approval of the event.

Event grants of up to $5,000 can be applied for through an expression of interest (EOI) process.
Your EOI will need to highlight how your event will:- Maximise community benefit
- Address real issues
- Most meaningfully impact Swan residents.
If your EOI fits the above priorities and indicates that you're capable of delivering on your ideas, then we will ask you to complete a full application. It will take around 21 business days from when you submit your EOI for us to confirm whether you’ll progress to a full application.
Full applications will be assessed around eight weeks from the date you submit. If your full application is successful, payment can take City teams up to 30 days to process from the date of invoicing. This means funds for successful applications may not be paid until after your event dates, depending on when you apply, and return a signed Agreement and invoice.
