Bat Box Workshop

Event description

Bats are an important part of the ecosystem – they play a role in pollination, seed dispersal and pest control.

Learn about the habitat needs of our local microbats and help to construct nest boxes!

• 1 hr bat box presentation with Joe Tonga, who’ll share 20 years of R&D and explain the requirements of a successful bat box.
• Then have a go at assembling a bat box!

This workshop is supported by the Gidgegannup Men’s Shed, and provided through funding from the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program.
