Confidence for Women in Cricket

Event description

The City of Swan and WA Cricket have partnered to run the first Confidence for Women in Cricket program.

It is for women who have always wanted to try cricket but never felt they had the confidence, experience or opportunity. You do not need to have played before, and all equipment is provided.

The program runs over four Friday evenings and is open to women aged 18 and over. Come to all four sessions or just the ones that suit you.

In this program you will:
  • Learn the basics of cricket in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting
  • Build confidence on and off the field
  • Meet new people and improve your wellbeing through sport.

Session dates:
  • Week 1, Friday, October 23: batting and umpiring, including the rules of the game
  • Week 2, Friday, October 30: batting fundamentals
  • Week 3, Friday, November 6: fielding and team tactics
  • Week 4, Friday, November 13: gameplay and participation pathways.

All sessions run 6-7pm at Dayton District Open Space.

Registration is essential and is managed by WA Cricket.
