Event description
Design and sew your own quirky felt creature while discovering the calming art of hand stitching! In this creative workshop, participants will use colourful felt, thread and decorative materials to create a unique soft creature full of personality.From deciding its shape and features to choosing how many eyes it has, every detail is up to the maker. Along the way, participants will learn simple hand-sewing techniques and practise large, easy stitches to build confidence and coordination.
They'll also explore how facial expressions, colours and decorations can help communicate emotions and tell a story about their creature.
Hand sewing encourages patience, focus and mindfulness, making this a relaxing and rewarding creative experience.
Participants will leave with a handmade felt friend to keep and cherish.
Suitable for young creatives aged 8 - 12 years old.
