Midland Junctions Arts Centre (MJAC) holds special and significant history in our community as a place of education, learning, community and arts activity for over 100 years.
Earlier this year, MJAC’s front entrance and two front galleries were closed to allow for lighting upgrades. Upon inspection, the City became aware of structural repairs required to the original heritage ceilings of the galleries, and therefore the front entrance foyer and front galleries remain closed.
While the City are investing in the careful restoration and renewal of this special historic building, MJAC welcomes you to visit and enjoy their fantastic art displays in alternative gallery spaces throughout the building. This includes an exhibition of the City of Swan Art Collection and the work of multiple artists in residence in the MJAC studios.
We value our talented arts community here in the City of Swan, who contribute to making our community a more vibrant, exciting place to live.
Signage is in place to direct you to the alternative entrances of the building. The City will continue to provide updates on the progress of the works and a possible completion date.
