Sponsorship, funding & grants

There are a number of ways clubs can generate much-needed funds for facilities and participation.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship is often an integral part of a club to run day-to-day activities and to also keep fees as low for members as possible. Clubs must provide potential sponsors with a tangible benefit in exchange for sponsorship and remember that businesses want to be associated with clubs who have a professional and positive image.

Kidsport

Eligible youth aged 5-18 years can apply for up to $200 each calendar year to contribute to club fees. The fees will go directly to the registered KidSport clubs through their participating Local Government. Read more.

Community Sporting & Recreation Facilities Fund

The Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF) is a funding program offered by the State Government to assist in the development of basic sporting infrastructure with a focus on increasing physical activity in the community.

The CSRFF program represents a partnership opportunity for community organisations to work with the City of Swan and the Department of Sport and Recreation, each contributing one third to the total project cost.

Examples of successful past projects include:

  • Floodlighting upgrades
  • Facility redevelopments
  • New or replacement of synthetic surfaces.

Clubs have an opportunity to submit an Expression of Interest form that must be submitted to be eligible for funding from the City. For more information, contact the City's leisure team on 9267 9267.

Other grants

Many agencies offer funding for sport and recreation clubs. For further information on current grants, please contact the City's club development officer at swan@swan.wa.gov.au.
