The Swan Volunteer Resource Centre (SVRC) hosts various training sessions throughout the year. Some are open to all community members, and others are specifically targeted towards local organisations operating with the assistance of volunteers. 2019 Step Into Volunteering sessions

Step Into Volunteering is an informal introduction to volunteering. These sessions are of particular value to those who are considering volunteering and those seeking different volunteer experiences. They are open to all members of the community.

Come along to this free, no obligation session, and hear about:

  • The benefits of volunteering
  • The volunteering opportunities available
  • Identifying the skills that you have to contribute to volunteering
  • Rights and responsibilities of volunteers and volunteer involving agencies
  • How to find the right volunteering position.

Enhancing access to diversity masterclass

Presented by Gilda Davies of Volunteering WA

People from diverse backgrounds can offer different talents, skills and experiences to your organisation. This masterclass includes how to reach and manage diverse volunteers, provide a welcoming and inclusive environment, and how to avoid discriminatory practices. This session counts towards Volunteering WA’s Volunteer Management Endorsement.
