The suburb now known as Beechboro dates back to 1877, when Henry Brockman divided the land into several large lots. Its name derives from Brockman’s ancestral home in England, which was called Beechborough Park. Prior to World War II, the area had been subdivided into a number of farmlets, which were run as dairy farms.
