We are strongly requesting for the City of Swan to action the redevelopment of the curbside space running parallel to Swan Valley Anglican Community School on Swanleigh Parade. Many parents and carers of Swan Valley Anglican Community School children have voiced concerns over the safety of our children, and those within the broader community, as Swanliegh Parade poses a potential threat to our children's safety due to the traffic congestion frequently observed during peak school hours. Due to the lack of car space within the Swan Valley Anglican Community School, many families have taken to parking along the curbside, as this is the only other option for families, other than the surrounding neighbours driveways, or further monopolising the IGA carpark. Therefore, we are requesting the redevelopment of this curbside into established car bays to mitigate the hazardous blind spots resulting from the persistent traffic congestion, to keep our children safe in the community.
