Anzac Day is an opportunity for all Australians and New Zealanders to pay our respects to those who have served our nations in the military.
As we gather to honour their service and sacrifice, many of us will have our own memories and emotions as we reflect on our personal connections to Anzac Day.
But the phrase we hear so often on Anzac Day – "lest we forget" – is a message that binds us all.
Held on April 25 – the anniversary of the Gallipoli landing at Anzac Cove in 1915 – it is a day of remembrance and solemn gratitude.
There will be Anzac Day services held across the City of Swan this year by RSL sub-branches and community organisations, as outlined below.
