Can I vote in the election?
To be eligible to vote in the election, you must be enrolled on either the State electoral roll (residents' roll) or the owners and occupiers roll for the City of Swan.
If you're new to the area, recently became an Australian citizen or just turned 18, it's important to update your details.
Check or update your enrolment.
How do I vote?
You can cast your vote as soon as you receive your voting package, which will include instructions on how to vote.
Please return your completed election papers using the reply paid envelope in your voting package.
Your voting package will be returned via priority delivery. However, please allow enough time for delivery by the close of polls on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Alternatively, you can drop your voting packages off at the following locations:

Is voting compulsory?
While voting in a local government election is not compulsory in Western Australia, we strongly encourage you to have your say on who represents your community. Every vote counts.

The residents' roll is maintained by the Western Australian Electoral Commission (WAEC). People who live in the City of Swan and are already enrolled on the State electoral roll will automatically be on this roll.
