This matter was considered and under delegated authority on April 30, 2025 for a period of three months and two days.

The extension to the existing temporary closure to portion of Andrea Drive, Henley Brook was requested and approved under delegated authority.
The existing closure was set to conclude on 16 August 2025 and will now conclude on 27 August 2025.

This closure is to complete upgrades to a portion of Henley Street (between
Andrea Drive and Brooklands Drive), requiring a road closure.
A plan showing the location of the road proposed to be closed can be inspected on the City's Swan Engage website, at the City’s Administration Centre or at any of the City’s libraries, during office hours.
Prior to Council considering this matter, submissions from the public are sought. Anyone
wishing to object, support or otherwise comment on the proposal may do so by lodging a

You may be eligible to be enrolled to vote in the local government elections on Saturday, October 18, 2025 if you live in or are an owner or occupier of rateable property in the City of Swan.
Residents
You are automatically enrolled to vote if you are on the State Electoral Roll as at 5pm Friday, August 22, 2025. If you are not already on the State Electoral Roll and meet the eligibility criteria, or if you have changed address recently, you must complete an enrolment form.
Enrolment forms
You can enrol or update your details online, or download an enrolment form, via the Western Australian Electoral Commission website. Forms are also available from the Australian Electoral Commission. Enrolments and updates must be completed and received by 5pm Friday, August 22, 2025.
Non-resident owners and occupiers
If you are a non-resident owner or occupier of rateable property in the City of Swan and are on the State or Commonwealth Electoral Roll, you are eligible to enrol to vote.
Owners of land who were on the last Local Government roll continue to retain that status until they cease to own the rateable property to which the enrolment relates.
Occupiers do not have continuous enrolment and should contact the City of Swan to confirm their enrolment status. To be eligible to enrol as an occupier, you will need to have a right of continuous occupation under a lease, tenancy agreement or other legal instrument for at least the next three months following the date of the application to enrol and have paid rent for at least the prescribed amount.
Joint owners and occupiers
If a rateable property is owned or occupied by more than two people, a majority of the owners/occupiers may nominate two persons from among themselves who are on either the State or Commonwealth Electoral Roll, to enrol as owner/occupier electors.
Corporations
A body corporate that owns or occupies rateable property may nominate two people who are officers of the body corporate who are on either the State or Commonwealth Electoral Roll to enrol as owner/occupier electors.

The pedestrian detour from Amherst Road to the Morrison Road/Great Eastern Highway intersection is 570m.
Please note that as part of the traffic detour plan, a portion of the Cale Street link to Victoria Street will be closed to southbound traffic. The Cale Street rail crossing will remain open to both directions.

Works will be split over two stages. Stage one works are set to start on 15/09/2025 with
completion expected by mid-February 2026. Stage two works are set to commence shortly
thereafter, in mid-February, with completion expected by 04/06/2026. Each closure will be a
24/7 closure from Monday through Sunday for the duration, with local access permitted.
Driveway access to affected residents will be maintained by way of created offset where
required.

- Builder. This tool assists candidates in completing their nomination form, including their profile and additional information. Candidates can complete their nomination details and profile, print the completed form with the allocated reference number, and lodge it with the Returning Officer. - A single A4 page profile of not more than 1,000 characters (including spaces) containing information about the candidate
- A nomination deposit of $100 (cash, EFT, bank cheque or postal order)
- A recent passport-sized photograph (optional)
- Every candidate must complete the online course titled Local Government Candidate Induction, available at Induction for prospective candidates | LGIRS, prior to nominating and provide the course code on the nomination form; and
- In addition to your A4 profile, you may provide additional information that you consider to be relevant to your candidature. Where an agent lodges a nomination on a candidate’s behalf, it must be in the prescribed form with a written authorisation signed by the candidate. The documents may be hand delivered or posted to the Returning Officer and must be received by the close of nominations.
