The closure will allow for the construction of the Water Corp ND375 Collection Sewer.
Proposed for a closure period of three months and 14 days, commencing Saturday, June 24, with expected completion in October 2025. This is a 24/7 closure, and no detour is required.

The temporary barrier closure is to the rail crossing, located at Morrison Road/Amherst Road, Midland (South of Great Eastern Highway) requires upgrades to suit the new Midland Station construction, and for the safety of the rail line itself. The closure duration is 31 days from 18/01/2026 – 18/02/2026.
The pedestrian detour from Amherst Road to the Morrison Road/Great Eastern Highway intersection is 570m.
Please note that as part of the traffic detour plan, a portion of the Cale Street link to Victoria Street will be closed to southbound traffic. The Cale Street rail crossing will remain open to both directions.
