Branching Out: Urban forests and our future

Event description

As cities expand, so does the need for green spaces that support healthier communities and a sustainable future. Fiona from Gaia Permaculture will explore the vital role urban forests play in mitigating climate change, improving air quality, reducing heat island effects and enhancing biodiversity.

You will learn how strategic greening efforts can strengthen climate resilience and discover actionable ways to contribute to a greener, more liveable city.

Light refreshments will be provided.

This workshop is part Branching Out in Ballajura, a series of free workshops hosted in Ballajura throughout April – May 2025. To find out more and see the full list of workshops by visiting Branching Out in Ballajura - Swan Engage!

Attend four or more workshops and complete the pre and post program surveys to go into the draw to win a one-hour garden consultation with Neville Passmore (please note, you must be a City of Swan resident and/or ratepayer to be eligible). There is also a door prize for each workshop, a $100 gift card for Green Life Soil Company or Guildford Garden Centre – it is almost too good to be-leave!
