Comic creation with Dion Hamill

Event description

Join illustrator and author, Dion Hamill for this four week comic creation course.

Each week you will focus on the fundamentals to begin making your comic book story as Dion shares with you the processes and techniques he uses to create his own work.

Creating comics is a great way to express yourself and creativity through words and pictures.  Participants will not only walk away with the beginnings of a great artwork to explore and continue, but will also gain a new found confidence in themselves that they can make something truly unique and special.

This program will run weekly from October 24 until November 21, with a break on October 31.

Session 1: Friday, October 24. Character development
No session on Friday, October 31
Session 2: Friday, November 7. Plotting
Session 3: Friday, November 14. Editing
Session 4: Friday, November 21. Cover Design

Please book in as spaces are limited.
This program is suitable for young people aged 12-16 and is a hands-on workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event. Please book one ticket for each person attending.
