Unrestricted Burning Period

The unrestricted burning period runs from Monday, June 1 to Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

During the unrestricted burning period, you can burn without a permit subject to the following conditions:
- Your property is over 2000sqm
- You are only burning vegetative or untreated wood.
All burning (including exemptions) is prohibited when a total fire ban is declared.

Event description

Enjoy a special Noongar-English storytime with Professor Cheryle Kickett-Tucker and explore nature crafts, face painting and our Futures lab Sphero robots.

This program is suitable for families with children of all ages and is a multi-activity family event. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by City of Swan and the event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
