Food shopping for the environment

Event description

In this 1.5-hour workshop you will learn how to confidently identify and eat seasonal, local, and less packaged foods including how to navigate the supermarket and identify greenwashing on common food labels.

You will explore:

  • How aligning your eating habits with seasonal produce will improve your overall health and simultaneously reduce our carbon footprint
  • Food miles and its effect on a sustainable diet
  • How to minimise your waste through purchasing minimal packing foods
  • How to identify, assess and reduce the environmental impact of packaging.

This workshop is presented by Hannah Bres (Green Nutrition Australia) on behalf of City of Swan on and Switch Your Thinking.

$5 registration.

All funds received from this event will go towards a sustainability prize draw where you have the chance to win an induction cooktop. Those who register are automatically entered into the draw.
