Each year on a Wednesday in late May is WOW Day (Wear Orange Wednesday). The day encourages people to wear orange to show support and appreciation for their local SES.
This event recognises 60 years of volunteer service providing emergency response to the community and Australia wide. An opportunity to see behind the scenes, gather information about preparedness, response and recovery whilst enjoying a fun day with lots of activities for the whole family.
As WOW Day is so close to the Swan SES anniversary celebrations, we encourage attendees to wear orange to the event.
The City of Swan proudly supports this event.
