Thinking Green: Perth Wildlife Hospital tour featuring black cockatoos and owls

Event description

This tour is suitable for adults and children of most ages (adult supervision required). Please be aware this tour includes non-footpathed terrain, making it unfortunately unsuitable for wheelchair users and prams.

Perth Wildlife Hospital is a not-for-profit organisation providing expert treatment and care for sick, orphaned, and displaced native animals, with the goal of successful rehabilitation and release. Amongst the animals in care are endangered Black Cockatoos and owls.

This tour will include a look around the facility but have a focus on these birds. It will highlight some of the threats faced by our feathered friends, including rodenticide use which is contributing to the deaths of owls, raptors and other animals, and even pets. Attendees will have the chance to see some education animals up close.
